IISc Admission Procedure 2022
Candidates those wish to apply in IISc (Official website) must have to fill the application form first. Candidates can get admission through any of the national level entrance exam. The admissions will be offered on the basis of merit which will be prepared on the various national level entrance exams. Candidates have to attend the counselling/interview in person on the day of counselling. On the day of counselling, candidates have to confirm their allotted seats and submit the admission fee.
IISc Admission Schedule 2022
The counselling application form will be released from February 2022. The spot counselling will also be conducted for the vacant seats for admission through KVPY-SX, KVPY-SA, JEE Mains, IT-JEE Advanced and NEET-UG programmes. The counselling will be conducted through offline mode at the “UG administrative building” in the IISc campus.
IISc Counselling 2022
The IISC Admission procedure also includes counselling that will be conducted for both UG and PG courses in the university. To get the seat, it is necessary to attend the counselling and confirm the seat. Candidates have to fill the application form which is the mandatory step in order to participate in the counselling. Application forms can be filled through the official website. In the counselling rounds the seats will be allotted on the basis of candidate’s marks and choice filled by them. Candidates should produce the offer letter (call letter) on the day of counselling along with the respective exam score card. Candidates have to verify their original docents along with one set of photocopies. After the verification procedure, the candidate will be allotted the seats. If candidates want to get admission, they have to submit the requisite admission fee to the concerned authority.
IISc Admission Procedure– Selection
The IISC Admission procedure details are given below for UG & PG courses: For UG Course: The selection will be based on the merit list of one of the following national examinations: KVPY-SA [appeared in 2020,2021 and selected for the Fellowship], KVPY-SB [appeared in 2021 and nominated for the Fellowship], KVPY-SX [appeared in 2021 and selected for the Fellowship], KVPY-SA and SX Fellows selected through the Empowerment Initiative for SC/ST candidates, IIT-JEE-Main [appearing in 2022 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PwD)], IIT-JEE-Advanced [appearing in 2022 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PwD)], and NEET-UG [appearing in 2022 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PwD)]. Note: Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Person with disability (PwD) and Kashmiri-Migrant (KM) candidates: As per Government of India regulations. For M.Tech/M.Des/M.Mgt Courses: For M.Tech (Aerospace, Chemical, Civil, Computer Science & Engineering, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Materials, Microelectronic Systems, Signal Processing, Systems Engineering, and Transportation & Infrastructure Engineering), the selection will be based on valid GATE score. For M.Tech (Climate Science, Computational Data Science, Earth Science, Electronic Systems, Electrical Engineering), the short-listing will be done based on a valid GATE score, followed by an aptitude test and an interview. For M.Tech (Communication & Networks and Nano Science & Engineering), the selection will be based on the only interview. For M.Des, the Short-listing will be done based on a valid GATE / CEED score followed by a Design Aptitude Test and interview. The selection will be based on the performance of the Design Aptitude Test and interview. For M.Mgt, the Short-listing will be based on a valid GATE/CAT/GMAT scores followed by a group discussion and interview. The Selection will be based on the performance in the group discussion and interview. For Ph.D/M.Tech (Research) Courses: The Short-listing will be based either on performance in national entrance tests or on the academic performance in the qualifying degree examination as per the table above. The final selection is based on the performance in an interview (in some of the departments, a written test will precede the interview). For Integrated Ph.D Courses: The Short-listing will be based on JAM 2022 score for all the four disciplines. Short-listing for Physical Sciences discipline will also be based on JEST 2022 score for those cleared JEST 2022. Selection will be based only on the performance in the Interview for Chemical Sciences and for other disciplines based on the combined performance in the JAM and in the Interview.
