When ‘Sicario‘ was released in 2015, it caused quite a stir among reviewers, which was reflected in its box office results. The universe of ‘Sicario’ was bleak yet realistic, and the concept was political enough for such a setting. The conclusion hints at a possible trainee connection between the two in the following film. Alejandro and Matt appear to be on opposing sides of the law, and Kate Macer makes a comeback. There may also be a bond between Alejandro and Macer, as the two films have philosophically brought the two characters together in their manner.
