Zootopia 2: maybe even 3?
There has not been a ton of information about the sequel to Zootopia. Mark Smith, who played the role of a Rhino named “Officer McHorn” in the first film, has come out to say that he would be reprising his role in the sequels. This confirms that there is at least a sequel that is in the works somewhere. Tommy Lister, who voiced Finnick in Zootopia, revealed that there were 3 movies in the making for Zootopia and hinted that it might just be the biggest Disney movie yet. If that is the case, we might be looking at not one but potentially 2 sequels.
Zootopia 2 Release date
With a plethora of Disney movies hitting the big screen in 2019, 2020, and 2021, the curiosity over when the next sequel to Zootopia will be released is at an all-time high. However, no date has been officially announced as the launch date for Zootopia 2. There has been no shortage of rumors, hype, buzz, and speculation over Zootopia 2 but nothing concrete enough to formulate opinions on.
Which characters would appear on Zootopia
One of the factors that really drove this show towards its success was its large range of characters and their personas. While Nick and Judy are all but certain to return, we can expect many new characters to pop up.
Potential Plot for Zootopia 2
The directors of Zootopia are known to have a special fondness for the show. The first movie’s plot had elements that encouraged the inclusion of diversity and racial tolerance. They have embraced every aspect of the show and have said they would have loved to make more movies on it in the future. In terms of ideation for plans, the directors had said in an interview that they would love to give a more central role to Clawahauser and build a hilarious narrative out of him. They also played with the thought of having one centered around Bellwether and concluded by saying there was so much that could be done and were looking forward to the future of the movies. There has also been a divided fanbase over whether or not they would like to see Nick and Judy get together. This is also a plot point that we will just have to wait for the sequels to see. Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman have weighed in their thoughts about the sequels as well by saying that it is exciting to see their character on this new journey and added that they would like to see Nick convince Judy that the world was worth living for.

Jason Bateman plays the role of Nick Wilde, while Ginnifer Goodwin plays the role of Judy Hopp. Bellwether is played by Jenny Slate, while Shakira lent her voice for Gazelle.
